VChandler Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Anyone know what's happened to the forums and updates at My ATX? I've been trying to access that site for several days now and keep getting an error code. I've emailed ATX twice now and they haven't gotten back to me. Don't have time for the long hold times to call them. The main reason I'm trying to get on there is to see if there is news or chatter about refund and bank product delays. It seems like all of my clients refunds are late. Also, I'm not getting any deposits from Fee Collect. (even from clients who received their deposits a week ago) Anyone else having these issues? Margaret CPA in OH Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 I just logged in without any problem with access to the forums. I found this message: ATX: Important message from TPG about refund disbursements 2/2/2012 Updated 2-2-12--Message from TPG to their customers: IRS FUNDING DELAYS FOR RTs With the enhancement of multiple processing systems this year, many of you are aware of the processing delays at the IRS. There is conflicting information on when refunds will be disbursed based on all the IRS channels (website, automated number and taxpayer hotline), and from what we understand the IRS is working on resolving these issues and will release a message soon addressing this. In the meantime, our customer service representatives will be referring taxpayers to check the IRS website and hotline more frequently for a better gauge on when to expect their refund rather than contacting us since the IRS will be the best source to determine the delivery date of their refund once they update their channels. We ask that you refer your clients to those channels before contacting us as well. If the IRS has disbursed their refund, we will assure the customer that we will send out their proceeds within 24 hours of receipt. HELPFUL TIP: For assistance with these clients, we have posted a notice called "IRS Refund Delays" under the ‘Downloadable Forms’ link when you log in to the TPG website. This can help you explain to your customer what may have happened. Does this help? 1 Quote
rfassett Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 Someone on another list serve was having trouble logging is last week. Another poster said she had had the same issue and called support and they said to delete your cookies and history and make sure you are using internet explorer. Chrome should not be used. After saying that, the poster said that fix did not work and ATX had to remote into her computer and go to the security tab and add all the site for atx etc to the list. Quote
Kimberly K Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 You are not the only one having this problem. I am off to delete cookies, thanks rfassett! It worked! Thanks again. Quote
VChandler Posted February 7, 2012 Author Report Posted February 7, 2012 Thanks everyone! I had already deletes my cookies and all history since I've had this problem with ATX before. Guess I'll have to suck it up and call them for that remote assistance. Bummer... Glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing delays with the IRS. I was starting to think I had an issue on my end. Thanks again! Quote
VChandler Posted February 7, 2012 Author Report Posted February 7, 2012 OK, I use Firefox. I just opened the site in IE and had no problems. Quote
Terry O Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 I use Firefox- - -still getting the error, so I have to open through IE. Minor inconvenience, but it was WORKING until 2 weeks ago - - -arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!! Quote
mcb39 Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 I had to delete cookies and history twice last week in order to get in. This week, am not having a problem. You also have to delete temp files and uncheck the box at the top of the Delete Settings which says Preserve Favorite Sites. I hate it cuz I have so many passwords, but it did work and, as I said, am not having any trouble now. Quote
Margaret CPA in OH Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 Not gloating here because I'm sure something will happen down the road, but I have no problems in IE or Firefox and have not deleted cookies and history. Have I just tempted Fate? Quote
