antran Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 I am new with ATX so I have question about 1040 EF-Info in ATX: Is it correct that I only need to enter info for section (A) if I select option (1) Using Practitioner PIN which include : - Tax payer PIN - check "ERO entered" box. - date - ERO PIN which is a 10 digits (5 digit EFIN + 5 other digits). Thanks Quote
jklcpa Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 You also have to enter the required info on the "Payment and Refund" tab unless it is a zero balance return. This is the same for the states. The ATX program will not create the e-file if this data is missing. It will show a box at the bottom with errors to be corrected in red. Correct these and save the return. Then create the efile. After creating the e-file, the program will go through its own "save" function. Do not save the file again or the efile will be rejected by the program because it thinks you may have made changes prior to submitting to the taxing agencies. This is not a reject by any agency, only a program reject as a safety feature. Quote
