joanmcq Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 I just lost a client because I wasn't sure if I could e-file same-sex couples this year. I know I can attach a PDF with the community property split with the MEF program...yay! although that will add another step since my customized form is a 'spreadsheet' in ATX. Or will the spreadsheet e-file? I haven't tried to create an e-file yet, but will likely be working on my first RDP couple today. Also, Michael this one is for you: will there be a way to put a flag in the return that it is filed under CCA201021050? I'm worried about the withholding not matching up and creating errors. Quote
MAMalody Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 Last I heard the IRS went with DOMA which means you can file joint same sex couples. Quote
joanmcq Posted February 3, 2012 Author Report Posted February 3, 2012 DOMA means you can't file joint same sex returns. Quote
MAMalody Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Jeez. I ought to reread what I write. I thought I had said that. Sorry, but, thanks for the correction. Quote
