Eli Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 For those of you askig about KC, she is doing ok. She said she retired from taxes in order to care for her husband. She says he is gradually going downhill. Please keep her, her husband & the rest of their family in prayer. Eli Quote
Terry O Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Thanks for the update - - -my prayers are with her & her family. Quote
NECPA in NEBRASKA Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Thanks, Eli. She will be sorely missed here. Quote
SunTaxMan Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 My appreciation also. Old age is headed our way also. It is wonderful to have a spouse to look forward to caring for and be cared for by. The days ahead may be strenuous and stressful, but Heaven is closer every day. Quote
Yardley CPA Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 I also send my best to KC and her husband. She will be sorely missed and hopefully finds time to visit us occasionally. Quote
joanmcq Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 I was wondering where she was; she never seemed to sleep since she'd be posting when I was up working at 1am PST! Sending thoughts of strength and caring at such a difficult time. She will definitely be missed on here. I hope she checks in occasionally, even if just to say hi and see what JB's having for lunch. Gail in Virginia Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 We will all miss KC, and not just for her tax knowledge! But I know she will not regret the time she spends with her husband, and I hope she will stop by to say Hi once in a while. 1 Quote
Lion EA Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Yes, for when KC lurks for a little R&R: we love you and send our prayers and warm wishes to you and to your husband. Quote
bstaxes Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 My prayers are with you and your husband. I will also keep your family in my prayers. Thanks for your help over the past couple of years. Quote
TaxCPANY Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Awful news! Dear KC, you've shed such well-informed, well-intentioned, kindly-phrased & *frequent* light upon this forum, that I rue your remove. I can't help but write selfishly of how much I will miss your participation -- but acknowledge that "til death do us part" requires it. Your homage to your life-partner is a great thing. Quote
DougO Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 KC - we will all miss your input to this forum. I can appreciate what you can be dealing with as my wife had open heart surgery last summer for installation of a heart pump (LVAD). She is doing well but it has changed our daily routine a lot and I have made some reductions in my workload to compensate. Your priorities can get altered very quickly and you realize where your focus belongs. We offer our prayers for your husband and you and hope that you can "peek in" on all us old workhorses once in a while. God bless. Quote

kcjenkins Posted February 26, 2012 Report Posted February 26, 2012 Thanks to all for the kind words. I will 'lurk' here now and then, and try to offer help when I can. I'm too addicted to taxes to go away totally. Still read up on the changes, Rev Rulings, etc. Quote
