ljwalters Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 My First DCN number looks real strang. Not the state so much as the Federal. It is an extra 7 digits long. Does any one else seem to have this happening? Linda Quote
Edward Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Go to the My ATX board and there is a complete explanation by Kimmie on this subject. Quote
rfassett Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Also you should be tuning into www.atxinctv.com on a daily basis. They do a live broadcast at 9:00 and archive it until the next morning if you missed it. They provide great info and the dcn thing was explained a day or two ago. Check it out. It's a great help! As I understand it, dcn's are a thing of the past unless for some strang reason you have to create a "legacy" efile (as opposed to the new MeF format). Quote
TAXMAN Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 I watched this video and the thing that caught my ear was that if it is a MEF file we can still file some old 2010 returns. Anybody know how to tell if a 2010 return would be a MEF return? Quote
TAXMAN Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Anybody had a chance to check this out? Quote
Lion EA Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 I think you can use MEF to file three years of individual returns as well as entities. However, the return can't contain forms/shedules that don't qualify for MEF. This year it's most forms that qualify; for prior years it was very few forms. Check with your e-File provider. Quote
