Chowdahead Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Happy 2012 everyone. I am looking to order some envelopes for my client's returns. I ordered from Nelco last year but prices seem a bit steep this year. Can anyone recommend an online tax preparer supplies store that I can compare prices with? Even better if they are compatible with ATX software, which Nelco seems to lack this year as well. Quote
DevM Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 I have bought from Tenez Inc. http://www.tenenz.com/ Prices are reasonable. 3 Quote
joanie3444 Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 I buy a lot of supplies from Ten-Enz. They are ATX compatible, good quality and not a bad price. If you order early, you get a discount and you get a discount for ordering on-line. 1 Quote
Catherine Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Ditto with good luck from Tenenz. CFS (taxtools dot com) also has envelopes etc., as do several other places. Prices seem pretty competitive. For return mailing envelopes, though, I usually just get plain-Jane Tyvek envelopes -- or use Priority Mail flat-rate envelopes. The small premium I pay for Priority Mail is far less than the bother of going to the post office to send first-class items that weigh over 13 oz. 2 Quote
mcb39 Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 I get everything from Tenenz. It used to be Tax Aid and I have ordered tax supplies from them for years. Fast delivery and some nice discounts once you get set up with them. 1 Quote
joanmcq Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 I order from Tenenz too. ATX compatible (I love the slip sheets for addressing packages to clients or tax returns that have to be paper filed), and a decent price. I got my website through AFSB, which I discovered in the Tenenz catalog too! 1 Quote
carolynm Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 Which of the Tenenz 1099 envelopes fits the ones laser printed via ATX? Quote
mcb39 Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 I don't have catalog handy, but I use uni-forms and print the 1099's on them and use the same envelope that I use for the W2's 1 Quote
Chowdahead Posted January 10, 2012 Author Report Posted January 10, 2012 Thanks for the tips. I ordered from Tenenz in 2009, but I forgot the name of the place and didn't have a second to look up the invoice. I ordered from Nelco last year. I did place an an order from Tenenz on Jan. 3 Still haven't received it. I received an order confirmation but no shipment confirmation, which I found odd. I've e-mailed them to see what's up. Quote
