Election to treat revocable trust as part of estate

I am filing Form 8855 (Election To Treat a Qualified Revocable Trust as Part of an Estate) [see attachment] and am looking to clarify an item on that form.

In Part I, I filled in the Estate name, address and the Estate's tax id #, but I am not sure what form is referring to when it asks "type of entity prior to the election."? Which "entity" is it referring to....trust or estate? (probably a dumb question, but I'm having doubts...)
