Retroactive reinstatement. Not for profit

Has anyone been successful in obtaining retroactive reinstatement for a not for profit whose exemption was revoked due to failure to file for three years?

The organization needs to complete a new 1023 or 1024 application and pay the fee.

If you go to www.irs.gov under the charities, exempt organizations tab, there are a series

of FAQs dealing with this issue.

Jeff: I just got confirmation for one I filed back in August. Had to submit a new 1023 with all the backup. As Uncle Sam says, there is lots of specific info on IRS website that is required. Specific address, etc. to get retroactive reinstatement. Very frustrating, as usual, dealing with them, but finally got to a reasonable individual who helped us out. Good Luck.
