JohnH Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 So I was sitting in the stands yesterday watching my 9-year-old and 11-year-old grandsons play baseball. A batter hit the ball to the fence, it bounced off the top of the fence and landed out of play. My 6-year old grandson who was sitting to my right turned and informed me that on this field it was a home run, but if the ball had landed back on the playing field it would have been a "Ground-Fool Double". Just wanted anyone who wasn't aware of that terminology to get their rules straight. Quote
barosser Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 From the mouthes of babes.. Love it. I got to watch my son 5yr old son hit a gran slam home run to win his game on Sat. (t-ball) Quote
Medlin Software, Dennis Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 I will save that term in my ball bag for sometime when I can pull it out on an unsuspecting coach. If only life allowed me to use rule 9.01c... Quote
