I have never had a QBX file before. I have trained my clients to give me backups. But this is a new client. They have saved an acct's copy on flash as QBX. I have looked online and it says to go to the file menu, open util, and then convert. But my utility option is greyed out. I can't go that route.

Any suggestions. Thanks.

I hate quickbooks.....grumble....mumble......

My suggestion would be to ask the client to give you a new copy of the file, in cvs format or some other format that you can use. Why waste time trying to make it work, when they can save a new copy in seconds? Look at the options that QB has for saving files, pick the one you want, and tell the client to save it in that format, and deliver it to you.
