TP wants to paper file

TP does not want to e-file. I thought there was a new form that had to be signed by the TP stating that they don't want to e-file. However, the form did not pop up in the ATX program.

Does anyone remember what form is supposed to be signed by the TP? Or is only a statement signed by the TP required?

It is there. It is hard to find.

My software (ProSystem fx) adds a second page Opt Out form for the client to sign for me to keep with Form 8948 to cover my ___ saying neither I nor anyone in my company coerced them to sign!

It is not a federal REQUIREMENT yet, although it is in CA and a few other states. And I think it will be a federal one soon, just not this year. That is why it's not automatic, is my guess.
