Tax Prep by Deb Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 This is the first time I have ever attempted to e-file 1099's. I have created the 1099's needed, included the transmittal form, created the e-file and transmitted it. I've noticed that nowhere do I have a DCN number, and it has stayed on transmitted to ATX for 5 days. Is this normal or did I miss something? Thanks in advance, Deb! Quote
NECPA in NEBRASKA Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 It should be fine. ATX and the IRS are so backed up that I wouldn't worry. As long as it is transmitted to ATX, you shouldn't be late. It has always taken a long time to get ACKS back for 1099's. Quote
Pacun Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 Forget about the delays, it always takes a long time to get 1096s throw. Quote

It didn't ask me for my efin #. Seems kind of strange to me. Deb! Quote
