Eli Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Still not ready to efile? Anyone else having issues with it? Thanks! Eli Quote
Trisharie Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 I beleive the 5405 still has to be mailed in with the supporting documents attached. Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Even if there are no supporting documents? I have a couple that just need to pay the $500 payment this year because they were in the group that got a loan rather than an outright gift, and I had thought I would be able to e-file those. Quote

I have a couple that just need to pay the $500 payment this year because they were in the group that got a loan rather than an outright gift, and I had thought I would be able to e-file those. I had no problem creating the e-file for three clients paying back the 500. I updated this morning and have had no problem except with one return that has the form for casualty loss included, but ATX says it will be released later this week. Deb! Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Thanks, Deb. I updated shortly before 11:30 here, and the 5405 was still draft. I just updated again and I am good to go! Quote
Eli Posted February 15, 2011 Author Report Posted February 15, 2011 Thanks, Deb. I updated shortly before 11:30 here, and the 5405 was still draft. I just updated again and I am good to go! Were you able to create the efile including the 5405? Quote
Tax Prep by Deb Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Were you able to create the efile including the 5405? Yes, But it will only work if you are simply paying back. It will not allow e-file if anything is included on page 1. Claims for the credit must be paper filed. Deb! Quote
