Jack from Ohio Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 From the ATX Blog... E-file Volume Announcement The IRS has advised us that a formal announcement is scheduled to be released Tuesday mid-morning. You may have already noticed a short delay in the time your e-file is received at the EFC and the time it is sent to the IRS. The IRS Electronic Tax Administration (ETA) has reached out to the software developer community asking for us to help monitor the flow of e-File submissions to all processing centers in anticipation of the high volume of returns containing one or more of the Extender forms waiting to be filed. ETA has established a maximum daily volume for each software transmitter for e-files transmitted via MeF and legacy. The purpose of setting maximum volume controls is to ensure the taxpayer’s e-file is processed as quickly as possible without causing significant processing delays by the IRS Submission Processing Centers. SFS will be distributing the volume controls evenly over all five Service Centers. Quote
MAMalody Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 After updating, my computer still tells me that the Schedule A is a problem. Also, does anybody know when the 1040 Clergy worksheets are due to be approved for filing? 95% of my returns require this. Quote
RitaB Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Been able to create (and transmit) the e-files with Sch A, except for one which still has that red message to wait til mid to late Feb. Hmm. In an unrelated matter, would love to be able to print 1040-ES forms for people picking up returns cause you know I'm going to forget to mail them to em. Not complaining, it just sounds like it... Quote
rfassett Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 I picked up the 1040-ES in yesterday's update. Or maybe it was this morning. But I got it. Quote
Catherine Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 I waited until last evening to submit, and today those returns are marked "Transmitted to Agency". Quote
DevM Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Here's from ATX site: Tuesday, Feb 15th - Status Report of efile limitations and ack processing We met our maximum capacity of Legacy e-files that the IRS Electronic Tax Administration has established. We were able to send over 225,000 e-files for the 11 AM Drains. We are anticipating that it will take 24 - 48 hours to receive acks from IRS. We have not received all acknowledgments for the e-files that we submitted on Monday, February 14th. Kansas City - 16,000 Outstanding Acks Andover - 25,0000 Outstanging Acks The next opportunity for these return to be acknowledged is today's 11 AM Drains. Depending on the volume of returns being processed by the Service Center, processing could potentially roll over to the 6 PM Drain. As we receive them, we will process and post to your electronic mailboxes. Devm Quote
