Reject Error Code 0492

Got a couple returns with the following Error Code 0492:

Form 1040 – When Residential Energy Credits (SEQ 0988) is

significant, must equal Nonbusiness Energy Property Credit (SEQ 0175)

plus Residential Energy Efficient Property Credit (SEQ 0335) of Form

5695

I can not find any information on the solution to this error. Apparently it was a problem for tax year 2009 as I found some posts regarding the same error in other forums etc. But I am unable to find a solution or a fix.

Has anybody else experienced this error and might happen to have any information on what to do?

That reject is just saying that line 52 of the 1040 doesn't equal lines 11 + 27 of the 5695. So on the return, do they equal?

On the return:

1040 Line 52: $501

5695 Line 11 = $0.00 Line 27 = $501

So, yes the total of those two lines matches line 52.

This thing has got me stumped and the client slightly upset.

Try updating your forms -- I noticed when I updated this morning that there is a new version of that particular form.

I update every day.

And I also don't believe that this is one that is a form that can not be filed before Feb 14th.
