Taxizen Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 Anybody received the cd? I did. Is there any problem to install? Quote
TAXBILLY Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 Didn't think they were even ready to be mailed out yet. Are you sure it isn't the 2009 Archive disk? That just arrived this past week. taxbilly Quote
Robin Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 I just received the 2009 version (not the archive, this was release date 5/21/10). Not sure why??Received the 2009 archive last week. Robin Quote
cientax Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 Does the archive disc need installation codes to install? I don't have the installation codes because a former worked in my office took the original disc along with codes and refuses to return it. If installation codes are needed, how can I get them when I can't get through to ATX? Quote

I don't think you need codes, because, in the past, if you keep the software up to date, there was no need to install. Maybe things have changed? Quote

I agree, you don't have to reinstall it, the archive cd comes in handy if you buy another computer and want to move your clients and don't have to go through the whole online update process. Quote
mcb39 Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 Exactly! And, I will be doing that tonight. Archive disk just in time so I won't have to sit and wait for all of the updates before we transfer the files from desktop to laptop. Keep that disk in a safe place. Quote

mcb39 Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 I did need the installation code to install the archive disk on new computer. I was able to get it from My ATX under my products. Installation and transfer of clients went smoothly. Long story here, but I won't bore you. We used export and import to transfer the client files. Quote
