Gail in Virginia Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 By google, are you referring to gmail? I have used gmail for several years now and have been very happy with it for my personal email account. At work, we use an exchange server. I recently started looking at my gmail account through outlook 2007. Previous versions of outlook did not seem to configure well with gmail, or it might have been previous versions of gmail. I think either would be satisfactory for you. One thing about having your own domain name, however, is that you don't have to change the email address on your business cards and letterhead every time your service provider gets bought out by someone else. ted Posted September 30, 2010 Author Report Posted September 30, 2010 Thank you Gail...good to note....I'm glad to hear you are corroborating what computer tech said and I am glad to hear the newer version of gmail works well with Outlook. Quote
Kea Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 I use gmail for personal e-mail and my own domain name (through GoDaddy) for business e-mail. I read both of them in Mozilla Thunderbird. (Mozilla is the one who makes Firefox.) No problems. Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 Actually, I may have spoken to soon. I only recently tried to use outlook with Gmail, and while I thought that it was working, I am not sure that it is now. Quote
