Acquiring Official IRS Transcripts Online

Over the past year I have received a solicitation from ATX regarding a product they sell to instantly obtain taxpayer transcripts. Currently, whenever I have a customer who needs a transcript, I generate a 4506-T, have them sign it, and mail it or fax it to the IRS. It typically takes from 1-4 weeks to receive the transcript from the IRS.

The ATX product seems convenient, but it's expensive. Something like $170 a year. I had read that there was a way from Preparer's to obtain transcripts instantly through their E-Services account on the IRS website. But I can't find it for the life of me.

Does any one have any experience with with the ATX product or with the E-Services method through the IRS for obtaining official transcripts?

Use the product Taxscripts makes it much easier to do 2848 and receive transcripts within 5 minutes.Find it very useful use it about twice a week.
