Catherine Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 Twelve places to respond; I got eight. Didn't recall that the Lone Ranger was armed for werewolves, though. I missed the silver bullet, Freddy the Freeloader, and Rt. 66. Also missed the draft cards even though I knew it; brain blanked out on them. Quote
GeneInAlabama Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 I failed the test. I guess I'm not old enough. Or, maybe my memory is going. Quote
mcb39 Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 I got eleven, but I am one of the "older" kids. I missed on Buddy Holly. Quote
bstaxes Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 missed on freddy the freeloader. Those were good times. Quote
JRS Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 100%. But, I don't feel that old! Wh0 was the "finger" puppet on Ed Sullivan's show? Quote
Terry O Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 I got 11 and 1/2 - -could NOT remember the name Freddy the Freeloader - -remember the character though! Not sure who the finger pupet guy was - -but I do miss Topo Gigio - -with his "Give us a leetle kess Eddie" Quote
JohnH Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 I missed a couple-> not because I didn't know them, but my memory failed me. One was the draft cards, which is really odd because I served in the military from 1966-1970. For a little fun, here's a cute rendition of #4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUMwu_gXK7Q Quote

JRS Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 >>Not sure who the finger pupet guy was<< Senor Wences Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 I got all twelve of these, and my 18 year old son got about half! I don't think you have to be that old to know about some of this. Fun quiz :D Quote
Bob Hoffman Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I got ten correct. And I felt lucky that my memory was that good! Quote
kcjenkins Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 Got all of them but Freddy, I could remember the character just fine, but not the name. All the others were easy. Quote
jainen Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 >>some burned bras<< As I recall, there was more than one political issue at the time. >>8. Beatle or Bug<< "Beatles" were English. The German cars were "beetles." That was about as benign as the slang got. It was mostly negative, like "Hitler's car." Only 32 HP, didn't even bother having a radiator. But if you are REALLY a VW buff, you remember flipping the little turn indicators at each other. >>9. Buddy Holly<< The Big Bopper and Richie Valens as well as Buddy Holly. Quote
