jasdlm Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 From what I'm reading, I think that it might be, but I can't figure out how to exempt it on the MO return. Thanks! Quote
Marie Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 Not all is exempt. There is a worksheet - 2nd page of MO-A Quote
jasdlm Posted April 8, 2010 Author Report Posted April 8, 2010 Thanks, Marie. I keep trying to complete that worksheet, but ATX is not carrying the Missouri Adjusted Gross income through to the worksheet. Aaargh! Also, my clients lived in WA for a while. Moved back to MO toward the end of the year. Any way that only part ofthe pension is taxable because of partial residency, or is it all taxable because it's MO source income? Again, thanks so much for taking time to respond. Quote
OldJack Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 In the ATX program there is a check-box at the bottom of each 1099-R input screen that must be checked as public pension. You must check it to flow the 1099-R to the MO tax return. Quote
Bart Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 From what I'm reading, I think that it might be, but I can't figure out how to exempt it on the MO return. Thanks! Marie and OldJack are both right. Check the box on the 1099-R and it should show up on the MO-A, Page 2. Quote
jasdlm Posted April 8, 2010 Author Report Posted April 8, 2010 Brilliant, Old Jack! That worked. Thanks so much! Quote
