bstaxes Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 How did you answer who lives in your house on April 1, 2010, today is March 28? They want to know info for 4/1 my crystal ball is broke and I can't determine the future. They will have to wait until after 4/1 for me to answer the questions. I may take in a homeless person, may have a baby, may leave the country, who knows. To me if it is sent in early it is not the truth. Isn't a crime to not tell the truth to the government, even though they do it to us? Oh well thanks for letting me vent. I did call the census phone and told them the same thing. The person who answered the phone said it did not make a difference if you answered early. Quote
kcjenkins Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Well, of course you are right. But I just went ahead and filled out and mailed the darn thing. At least this year they did not send me one of those 'everything but the kitchen sink' versions. As for the question on Race, I filled it out as I ALWAYS DO. I check the box for 'Other' and where it asks you to fill in what that is I write "Human". That is the only race that they need to know about to do the job of counting us. Quote
taxxcpa Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 The next census will not only ask your race, but also your sexual-orientation, how tall you are, how much you weigh, who did you vote for, your bank account number, whether you have health insurance, and how long it took you to fill out the census form. Catherine Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Not quite; they already HAVE all our bank account numbers, courtesy of all those 1099-INT's. Quote
kcjenkins Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 Actually, most of those questions was on the last one I got 10 years ago. [Hard to believe it's been that long.] I just skipped most of them. The Constitution does not require that we answer all those. Quote
