Karen Lee Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 I really don't want to imput all 153 W-2G's for this tax return. Can I batch by Payor, only 3 casino's involved and no federal withholding on any of them? Thanks Karen Quote
kcjenkins Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Yes, I've done that many times, never had a single letter from it. Quote
jasdlm Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Wow! I live a sheltered life. I have never seen a client with more than 3 W-2Gs (and that was a married couple). Wow! Quote
kcjenkins Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Depends on where you live and work, Jasdim. I am about 90 miles from Tunica MS, which is now a major casino location, so I see lots of them. People in or near Las Vegas or AC also see lots of them. People in other parts of the country typically see a lot fewer. Quote
grandmabee Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Yes, I've done that many times, never had a single letter from it. I did that before too but they missed one and we got a letter and it showed listing of every w-2g saying it wasn't reported and the penalty was higher and we could not get out of it. I now list every one or I paper file. Quote
Karen Lee Posted March 25, 2010 Author Report Posted March 25, 2010 Thanks for the comments. 6 entries is alot faster than 153. Was really procrastinating now it is done. Quote
RoyDaleOne Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 There is a limit on e-filing W-2g, last year was about 32, so I suggest paper is the way to go. Quote
