WmMorris Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 This isn't the best time to be thinking about this, but I'm considering some major IT changes after tax season. We're running on a peer-to-peer Windows XP & 7 system at the moment. I'm looking at a server powered by Windows Server 2008. Has anyone had experience with a Server 2008/ATX combination and was it positive? I submitted an inquiry to ATX about this and received a boilerplate reply that was totally useless. Quote
kcjenkins Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 I haven't, but I'll ask one of my computer expert sons what he thinks about the Server 2008. And perhaps Eric might have some insight here? You might send him a PM about it. Quote
Pacun Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Get yourself a windows 2008 server 64 bit with 8 gigs of RAM and make sure your cabling is CAT 6 and all your computers have 1G NICs. Quote
