grandmabee Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 first year to efile 7004 usually just mail. Does it take longer to get acks on 7004? I sent yesterday morning but nothing yet. Should I just mail to be on the safe side. Do 7004 ever get rejected? thanks Quote
Maribeth Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Yes, the 7004 does get rejected if there is a mismatch between the name & EIN with what the IRS has on file. Then you will have to paper file. I have extended all my corporations and the acceptances came back very quickly. Only one was refjected for the mismatch and I paper filed that. Maribeth Quote
kcjenkins Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 They do tend to take a little longer, as they do not drain the 7004s as often as the 1040s. But we should get a bunch of acks on Monday. If it does not go through by noon, Monday, then you can mail them. Quote
carolynm Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Hmmm...I'm still waiting on a bunch I filed on 03/14 - should I be panicking? If the get rejected I hope if I mail them with a copy of the rejection notice that they will be accepted. I haven't got any acks back on any 7004's yet. Quote
10SorTAX Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Same here. 17 7004s e-filed on 3/14 and no acks for any of them. I have received acks for 1040s though. Quote

We had 10 extensions that were submitted last Friday and have not been accepted yet. We sent the 7004's in the mail on Monday. Better two extensions than no extensions, with a $189 penalty a month now. Maribeth Quote
