The return I'm working on won't check the child tax credit for dependent. I've filled in all birthdays, ss#, 12 months in home, what am I doing wrong? I can override, but like for everything to flow like it's supposed to. Any ideas where I've messed up?

Yes, 2008. I even put it in again. I did the overide to finish the return, but I just expect it to calculate, and I'd like to know what I did wrong.

Marie, Well I see I'm not the only one with that problem. I've encountered it numerous times this year. I have to manually click on each one. Sometimes it works on its own, but more often than not I have to do it manually.

Nope it doesn't! Thats one of the first things I do on every return.

I would delete the dependent all together and then re enter

does this happend all the time or just this one client?

I think there is something in the some line that is throwing it off
