JRS Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 From Fidelity: "A limited number of forms for accounts holding certain non–Fidelity mutual funds and/or certain complex securities, including unit investment trusts, mortgage pool securities, and real estate investment trusts, will be mailed by March 1, 2010." Last year that worked out to be March 3 on their website. There were still errors on a couple of my clients, including my own. Quote
Lion EA Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 And, don't forget that's just the mail date. You still have to wait for it to arrive! Why is it that the clients don't mind that their brokers have an extended deadline, but don't want ME to have an extended deadline. Why do they expect me to do the same work in less than two months that used to have 2 1/2 months to complete? Quote
B. Jani Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 I usually wait until March 1st to start 1099B entry with the hope that original as well as correct is received. But it is getting late and late. Quote
Lion EA Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 And, I still have clients bringing in corrected statements in March and even April. 10 April one year! Quote
