1099 E-file

First year trying to efile 1099-Misc., I don't know If Iam doing this rigth. Once I finish inputing data, I created efile and save. Got out of the return, efile shows "created" but when I come back later to the same return then efile showw "rejected" when I didn't even transmit it ??

What am I doing wrong?? Do I have to fill out a electronic form (like the 1040-Efile)or something else??

If you click on save after you have created the efile it will reject without sending it. I save the 1099 , create the efile, flip to the return manager mark it complete, then make sure you don't click save when you close the file.

So, there is no need to fill out any other electronic form (like 1040-Efile) ??? right?

Two different animals. One is to efile 1099s that your client is going to issue to his contractors and the other is to file his taxes.

When you create an efile, you cannot print or resave the file. If you do, then ATX will mark the efile file as rejected.
