Ray in Ohio Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 While restocking my drawers I found a partial bag of pretzels left over from last tax season. I put them outside for the birds and squirrels and now they wont even eat them. The salt has lost its flavor. What should I do with them? Looks like this will be a rough tax season, with problems like this already. Quote
Margaret CPA in OH Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 I suppose, like many things such as my brain, they will eventually biodegrade. I do find it hard to believe that even the salt has lost its flavor, though. That's stale! Quote
jainen Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 >>I put them outside for the birds and squirrels and now they wont even eat them. The salt has lost its flavor<< It is not reasonable to expect God's creatures to do the work allotted to us. Matthew 5:13 says (American Standard Version) "if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under foot of men" I think that means you are supposed to scatter the pretzels around in your garage, and stomp on them. Catherine Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 <snip> I think that means you are supposed to scatter the pretzels around in your garage, and stomp on them. Or use them instead of ice melt..... Quote
Margaret CPA in OH Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Now that, Catherine, is an excellent example of the reduce, REUSE, recycle mindset! And I expect we here in Ohio have not seen the last snow this year. Ray, good job on not simply throwing away such a reusable product! Quote
