Dan Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 Tax on guns you own. I received an email that said guns must be listed on 2010 tax return. Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 Tax form all guns that you have or own. It will require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun. Text of H.R.45 as introducted in House: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 Have any of you received such an email? What is the truth about this? I thought we had a second amendment that protected our right to bear arms. Quote

Eric Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 You know this isn't true if you don't hear anything about it besides through an email forward. Gun owners would be going nuts. I know I would be. Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Common sense and logic should be applied generously to ANY forwarded e-mail. Quote
