I received it on Aug 9, 2009; did not download the program, but am still cleaning up trace trojans on my laptop. Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Old news. I have been wiping and restoring hard drives for this kind of Trojan for over a year. Despite my multiple attempts to teach the people at my office to contact me before they click on ANYTHING that pops up, they still fall for the box that says "Alert!" I am also the I.T. tech and server guru for my company with 13 workstations. I guess people who continue to not listen or pay attention is my job security! I hate that it costs the owner of the business so much time an productivity. Quote
DonnaA Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 My husband's computer was infected with this virus earlier this year. I tried several programs to remove the annoying pop-up warnings, and the best I found is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. You can get a free download at download.com. I have had more success with this program than Ad-Aware. Quote
