joanmcq Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I'm trying to enter the wages for the W-2 Data line 1 on form 2555. there is no bunny hop as to where the data comes from and it is a white calculated box. Got any ideas how to get the amounts in there? this is a hard enough return without having to try and figure out the program... Quote
Robin Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I entered wages (box 1 only as there were no withholdings) in the regular W-2 screen for a client that lives & works in Hong Kong. He only received a document with gross wages stated in Hong Kong dollars (which he converted for me). I e-filed this return with no problems. Robin Quote
greggea Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 Try using the regular W-2 input. At the top there is a box "Special type (wages)" where there is a drop down menu. Select the option for: To Form 2555 - qualified foreign exclusion. Gregg Quote
