joanmcq Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 Two states that are either piggybacked or 'state only' are in 'IRS cleared' status, and have been for a while. What does that mean? Most of my experience is with CA, and its a 'direct state' so the file doesn't go through the IRS. Quote
MontanaEA Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 Two states that are either piggybacked or 'state only' are in 'IRS cleared' status, and have been for a while. What does that mean? Most of my experience is with CA, and its a 'direct state' so the file doesn't go through the IRS. It means the IRS has sent them on to the states for processing. Since they cleared the IRS by 10/15, they are considered timely filed even if the states don't ack them until tomorrow or the next day. Quote
