mircpa Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 Hello friends A client of mine is looking for an attorney specializing in trusts, preferably in Chicago, or North Chicagoland. Can somebody suggest one thanks Quote
jainen Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 >>looking for an attorney specializing in trusts, preferably in Chicago<< Personally, I would not trust any lawyer from Chicago. Quote
zeke Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 I thought of six different lines, then decided that Joel is quite competent to make his own responses. z Quote
kcjenkins Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 Ah, but Joel got out, didn't he? Plus he's probably that famous 'exception' that proves the rule, don't you think? Quote
zeke Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 Yes, Joel got out. But, our lovely language allows us to consider him to be still "a lawyer from Chicago"!!! z Quote
mircpa Posted June 2, 2009 Author Report Posted June 2, 2009 Jainen Trust is the essence (built in inherent requirement) of attorney/accountant-client privilege. Was wondering what those fraternity guys might have done for you to say something like this about them. Now client wants to have face to face discussion with attorney to finalize his choice of trust, otherwise i would have referred him to some attorney anywhere in US plus I have to coordinate all financial stuff with attorney Quote
joelgilb Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 These comments are to those here that chose to defend me. I am still a Chicago Attorney even though I am living in Las Vegas. I appreciate those that chose to defend me. Thank You As for Jainen, his comments in this thread aren't worth me wasting my time responding to them. Nuff Said! Quote
kcjenkins Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 I suspect he just could not resist, given that when his post was made, the news on Burris had just been getting so much play. You have to admit, Joel, Chicago is getting a lot of coverage, and it's all bad right now. Acorn, Blaggo, Obama, Burris, ........the list seems endless. Quote
joelgilb Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Hmmmm ... so, would the reference have been more appropriate if it referenced Political Officials rather than lawyers? Quote
joelgilb Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 BTW All - sent message to mircpa, so I could provide him names and numbers of some trust attorneys I know that are still in Chicago Quote
kcjenkins Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 Hmmmm ... so, would the reference have been more appropriate if it referenced Political Officials rather than lawyers? Aren't all of those people also lawyers? Blaggo is the only one I'm not sure is. Quote
joelgilb Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 LOGIC 101 Many Illinois Politicians are crooks. Many politicians in Illinois and elsewhere are also lawyers so does this then mean that all Lawyers in Illinois are also crooks? Or not to be trusted? Hmm I think this fails any form of the logic I know. Quote
