GeorgeM Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 I have a couple of questions in regards to TRX now selling ATX. First is that if we all switch to TRX, will CCH keep up with jATX if they are not selling at a profitable price like they are doing now? Or will CCH abandon ATX? Right now ATX is an excellent program and still have a few features missing which I can see them coming up with in the next year or so. Will they keep improving the program if they are not making money on it? Next question, is Mel in Hawaii still programing a new tax package, or will TRX make Mel stop. Quote

George...you raise very valid points which I am also concerned about. I plan on renewing my ATX program but at this point I am not sure if I will do that directly with ATX or via TRX. Quote

If the previous post talking about a CCH project to develop a new product to replace both ATX and TaxWise in 2012 is accurate, I wouldn't expect CCH to expend a lot of money on new features for either of their soon to be discontinued products. joelgilb Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 Next question, is Mel in Hawaii still programing a new tax package, or will TRX make Mel stop. Don't see how outside force can stop Mel. Mel will continue so long as there is a profit motive. And, I hope and trust the TRX situation will not detract from any incentives Mel has from moving forward with his project. And who knows, maybe if CCH does discontinue ATX, TRX will partner with Mel Quote
