imjulier Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 How does sch H work in ATX? Line C and Line 9 ask the same question to figure out if you should do Part I or Part II. Shouldn't this be neither parts or both parts? Also, if wages are less than $1,000 in each quarter, for a total of say $3600 then Sch H doesn't apply. The directions for the form on the IRS website says something differently. Last darn tax return before the 15th and this is the only sch H I've had this year. Thanks for any help. Julie Quote
Margaret CPA in OH Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Maybe you should recheck that you answered each question in order. I had trouble with this a couple of years ago until I took my time and went step by step. From your information, I think you answer No and go to B and answer No and go to C and answer No if, in fact, no cash wages of $1000 or more were paid in any calendar quarter. If you answer this way, it says do not file the schedule. You never get to Part I, line 9, so no conflict. Quote
kcjenkins Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 If you got to Line C, you should have skipped Part I so you would not be answering Line 9. Hope that makes it clearer to you. Quote
