sch l ties to asset entry

i know this was on form befoe but can't find. how to turn off the tie between the asset entry and the schedul L on a 1065

i want to enter manual.

Not using ATX this year, but used to be a check box in the upper left corner of L, maybe. Was there also a question inside asset entry? This probably doesn't answer your question but keeps you at the top so someone helpful sees your message!

Lion is sort of correct.

ATX has added a balance sheet input sheet that now feeds to the Schedule L. the check box he is talking about is now on this sheet. Click down (via the brown rabbit on the side of the cell) to the balance sheet input sheet and then this check box is at the top of the page.

I kind of liked that balance sheet worksheet. It was a surprise, but for some reason seemed to make the checks and balances easier.

This trial balance worksheet seems to me to be another way ATX and Taxwise are getting more similar. We used to use Taxwise before we switched to ATX, and they had a trial balance worksheet. Of course, theirs was a true trial balance where you could put income and expense figures as as balance sheet numbers. I don't know if it still works that way, but that was one of the features I really liked about Taxwise. If we did the accounting and had a trial balance, doing the corporate return was a simple matter of filling in that worksheet and answering some questions.
