Yes, but if the route is long enough, the mileage will just about wipe out the income. The ones around here are given a 1099 as an Independent contractor. Quote

kcjenkins Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 And remember that newpaper delivery is one of the oddball ocupations that are statutory nonemployees, so their income should be in the 'direct seller' box, rather than in box 7. And if they are under 18 they are exempt from all SE and payroll taxes. Quote
