IllinoisTaxMan Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 HI, everyone! Do you have any problem in printing return in PDF format? I had no problem but recently there is no content in pdf file. I don't know what is going on this feature. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Quote
jasdlm Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 That has happened to me before. I had to shut the software down completely, reopen it, and re-pdf the return. It was not empty after that. It has happened more than once. Quote
JRS Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 I used ATX's PDF printer once and it locked up. Since then I use pdf factory and no problems. Quote
Sasha Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Check your foreign language packs in Windows, make sure that your settings are not set to something other than US English. That's the most common solution. Past that? It's seriously a mystery. I've never been able to get a straight answer from anyone on it. Quote
joelgilb Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Have that problem every now and then and when it happens I can't print to any print driver in Windows from ATX, but every other software works just fine. Like jasdlm said though, restart ATX and the problem is corrected (until the next time). Quote

If you print a return to pdf and the realize you've included a form you meant to not print (or neglected one you wanted), and you re-print, and try to give the same file name. You can go through the "this file already exists! do you want to over-write it" question and say "yes" -- but the over-written file will be empty. It is necessary to first delete the existing file and then re-print to pdf using the name again. Catherine Quote
