Correct....and it will probably be delayed quite a bit.....They should check with the bank , though....I had a client do this two years ago.....The client had just recently closed the account....When IRS attempted to deposit client's refund in the closed account, the bank opened it back up and allowed the deposit.....client was expecting it to be mailed (as I told them that is what would happen)...He called me two months later and said that it was never mailed, so he called the bank....they had it in the old account the entire time he was waiting! Apparently, he never looked at a bank statement for that account! Quote
