I have NEVER seen this before - -a client entered the Army in 2007 - -and apparently, it took a year for the promise of student loan repayment to show up - - -in the form of an additional $15K in Box 1 of a separate W-2 - - -fortunately, he got married, had another child, AND had 1/2 of his income in combat zone - -so it was no where NEAR as bad as I had originally thought.

I guess I just want to verify that

a) the claim that the army will pay is true

B) the kid will be off the hook for 40K in loans after 3 years - -woo hoo

c) obviously, I have to include this on line 7.

27 years in the business - -ya think I would have seen it all !!!
