taxxcpa Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 Tax his cow, Tax his goat; Tax his pants, Tax his coat; Tax his crop, Tax his work; Tax his ties, Tax his shirt; Tax his chew, Tax his smoke Teach him taxing is no joke. Tax his tractor, Tax his mule; Tell him, Taxing is the rule. Tax his oil, Tax his gas Tax his notes, Tax his cash Tax him good and let him know, That after taxes, he has no dough. If he hollers, Tax him more; Tax him till he's good and sore. Tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax his sod in which he's laid. Put these words upon his tomb, "Taxes drove him to his doom." After he's gone, we won't relax. We'll still collect inheritance tax. Quote
Cathy Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 Thanks taxxcpa, That one will go up on my office wall right next to one where Snoopy is writing to IRS asking them to remove his name from their mailing list! Quote
Terry O Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 I know I'm guessing - - -but isn't this an English poem that the Beatles used for their TAXMAN song back in the late 60's - - one which my children used to request every year for me on 4/15th on a local radio station ??? Quote

Catherine Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 I think that's the NY governor's new anthem! Massachusetts' governor, too!! The ninny is trying to get NH stores to turn over sales records of any MA buyers, so he can dun them for use tax. Not only does he have NO jurisdiction or legal standing, but he is forgetting four key items -- we have borders with four other states, all with use tax laws, and higher sales tax rates than we have! And they'll turn around and demand our records. If his nefarious scheme succeeds, it will send MORE money out of the state than it brings in! _Fabulous_ strategic planning, ain't it? Quote
