Janitor Bob Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 I have a client who is a resident of Ohio, but needs to file both PA and VA state returns as a non-resident...Can these returns (PA-40 and VA-763) be filed electronically by non-resident? Quote

jklcpa Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 Yes, the Pa nonresident returns can be e-filed, but I think that PA must be attached as a piggyback to the Federal to go through, at least it was in past years. If I recall correctly, I couldn't get NR PA's to go through as state-only, so I piggied with the Fed & filed the Del resident return as the state-only filing. Maybe one of the PA preparers here will provide more insight. Quote
