New client this year. He has both a SS # and an ITIN.

The 2007 preparer used his ITIN number on the 1040.

Should I use his SS# or his ITIN on the 2008 returns?

Never dealt with a client that had both.

Never dealt with a client that had both.

Assuming the SSN is legitimate and not a "borrowed" number you should absolutely use the SSN.
