RitaB Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 They figured it out when my daughter's boyfriend brought me tulips at her basketball game. So far today: Bucket full of chocolate candies, a cheesecake, and roses. Valentines Day is looking good! Quote

My older son (the one who forgot) said, "What a suck up." My other son said, "It's Mom's birthday, you moron." Quote

Catherine Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 You got that right! Hey, and anniversay is Feb 28... I should be drowning in candy then, too, huh? Yay me! Candy? I'd hold out for high-end chocolate, myself... Actually, my older girl got some Edible Arrangements chocolate-dipped strawberries for her birthday last year. They were _amazing_. Each huge berry was red all the way through and full of flavor, and the chocolate was a good quarter-inch deep. ONE was an entire dessert, and she got a dozen. We feasted for a couple of days. kcjenkins Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Well, at least one of your kids remembered. But did HE give you a gift? Or did he just 'remember' when the flowers showed up? Don't feel too bad, RC. One year EVERYONE in my family, husband and all three sons, forgot to get ME a SINGLE CHRISTMAS PRESENT. NOT ONE. And all the boys were old enough then to buy their own presents, by the way. They still feel guilty about that, after 16 years, and I can't say I've ever tried to make them feel better about it. I've never believed in counting the number of gifts, and making sure each one got exactly the same number, etc. But I must admit, I did feel a bit neglected that day . But the aftermath was very nice. Quote
