Tax Prep by Deb Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I have a reject that does not show up under display reject file any way shape or form. When I go to MyATX site and look up history it shows a reject code of FD505 w-2 40. Anybody know what it means and how to correct it. I did check to make sure I had the correct info on the W-2 worksheet. (This is a 1040 return). The first W-2 info was rolled over from last year and I know it is correct as I do the bookkeeping for this company). The second W-2 on the worksheet is new to my client this year however I have double checked everything and it appears correct too! Am I missing something? Deb! Quote
David1980 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Well what that means is that the employer's EIN was issued in the current processing year. Or, that the EIN was issued in 2009. Assuming that you have the exact same information as last year sounds like something got screwed up in IRS computers for that EIN. I'd try resending it just for the sake of ruling out random error or bogus reject (like all those 515's last year.) Quote
