Terry D EA Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 KC, you will be proud of me. I took your advice and have now raised my fees by a nickel. Tired of messing around with change. No more 9.95 or any .95 crap. We're in the money now! Terry D. Quote
kcjenkins Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Good for you. I personally feel a little bit insulted when someone tries to make me think that their prices are 'less than $__' by knocking off a nickle. And I'd rather write a check for an even amount, then it's easier to calculate my balance. Quote
michaelmars Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 i hate the nickel thing too? even when i go to a restaurant i round the tip to make the total an even dollar amount. if i ever get a charge including change i know its not one i signed. Quote
Lion EA Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Having worked for Block in the past with their funky amounts for forms, I wanted nice round numbers in my business. Now, Block does truncate the cents, so at least they were whole dollar amounts. But, I didn't want $129 or $503. I was holding everyone's prices the same, but I did round up to the nearest $5. Quote
michaelmars Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 TRY rounding up to the nearest $100, sure helps the bottom line Quote
bstaxes Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 I like price that end in zero or five. It is a lot easier for calculations. I also pay my bills by rounding up to the nearest 0 or 5. I need something simple in my life. Quote
michaelmars Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 guy i know uses 6 as a code, if the contributions end in 6 for example then he knows he made it up, oops i mean it was written on the ceiling, ooops i mean, it was estimated after a long and exhaustive search through records and analysis of spending patterns to estimate as close as possible to compenaste for illegible, incomplete or missing records.
