JACKSORH Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 Each time I e-file my clients return, I get a rejection by EFC. When I click on display selected rejection error, no results were found. I am not enrolled in bank products, just fee collect, however it is showing that my bank app. is yes and also fee collect. Could this be the reason why I am getting a rejection. I only have fee collect for this client and have not enrolled in any bank products. Please advise. Quote
taxguy057 Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 Has happen to me before last year and usually when its a reject from EFC, it has to do with improper forms or program glitch. Update all forms and program then reopen the return you're trying to efile. The system should update all new versions of forms and it should go through alright.... Quote

Also...If you make ANY changes to a return after you created the e-fil, but before you have transmitted, I thnk it will automatically show up in the E-file Manager as Rejected by EFC.....you simply need to open the return and re-create the e-file. Margaret CPA in OH Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 I have a "transmitted to efc" status 1099 file from yesterday that shows no rejection errors but on the status history shows rejected. Of course I cannot resend. I cannot recreate because the status is transmitted. Any suggestions? Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 Have you tried "syncing" your files with ATX's to see if the status changes? On the E-file manager, under support, click on customer service utilities and then synchronize efiles with EFC. I don't like to do this when I have a lot of files, but hopefully this early you don't have many, and sometimes there isn't any choice. If this doesn't work, maybe someone else can suggest something. Margaret CPA in OH Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 Thanks so much for the suggestion...but it didn't work. It's still in Transmitted to EFC status but the history shows rejected. Looks like a loooooonngg wait for support in my future... Quote
