cpabsd Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I have to replace by laser printer. I am locked out of my atx and customer service is not in today. Can anyone tell me if it has to be a specific laser printer to work with ATX or will any laser by compatible. I am looking at the HP 2015. Thanks, Bonnie Quote
TAXBILLY Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 B: It's not on the list but the list is a little outdated. I went to the HP site and some comments posted about the printer were not that good. I would wait until Monday and talk to ATX support. http://techkb.atxforms.com/TSTKB.nsf/da6b1...79?OpenDocument taxbilly Quote
kcjenkins Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 All the HP printers should be compatible. That is a good choice, IMHO, at 27 ppm, and first page out in less than 8.5 seconds, for $250. Automatic two-sided printing is nice, also, from time to time. Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 We use a 2015n at my office with no problems with ATX. The n just means it can hook directly into the network rather than having to be hooked to a computer. Paper capacity is about 250 sheets in the tray, it has an auxiliary feed for envelopes or forms, and it has been very quiet and trouble free for us. We used it all last tax season, and so far this year so I don't think compatibility will be a problem. Quote

Apparently some HP printers don't work as there's around 15 on the printers not recommended list. Quote
mcb39 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 If you look at the date that the list was compiled; it's quite out of date. I ordered a new HP last night as my 2200 is acting stupid. I ordered the 2035 which is also not on the list, but I think is new since that list came out. I have never had an issue with ATX and HP and I have gone through several over the years. Quote
samingeorgia Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 I started using a LaserJet P2015 last year with no problems, but it seems to really go through toner. I just installed a larger capacity (suffix is "X") cartridge; hope it gets me through April 15. Quote
