received taxwise today

Did I miss something?? In today's mail (FedEx) I received a disc and user guide for TRXPROTW (TW TRX Co Brand CD) from Tax Wise CCH. The only correspondence is a 1/2 page that has CCH Small Firm Services Fulfillment Confirmation Slip with customer id and reg code. I did not ask for it, sure hope I am not being billed for it.

CCH owns TaxWise and ATX plus others accordingly. This happened a lot last year too with the fulfillment department just messing up on orders. It happened, because CCH tried consolidating everything to make it easier, but essentially made it all that more confusing to people putting the orders together. There were a lot of reports where people got a package labeled ATX, but there would be a TaxWise CD in it. I wouldn't worry, but it's always good to call just to make sure.

I just got a package with the two AllStates TaxExpert disks. Could it be that was what you were supposed to be getting?

NO. Did not order AllStates TaxExpect disks. Maybe they (CCH) just made a mistake.

What I replied with yesterday was what I had heard through the grapevine (AKA, "very reliable sources"). They had told me it was an all too COMMON mistake that CCH made last year. I would imagine that is what's happening again this year.

That's what happens when someone new takes over and cuts everyone's jobs thinking they are making it easier on the inside, but the new people on the inside had no idea how to do the job. They probably should have thought it through a bit more.
