M7047 Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 Is anyone else getting this error? I've received it 5 times within the last 2 weeks. It comes when I try to open a return. Some returns open, some get this. I exit ATX and try again to the same result. Calling tech support gets me someone renaming my asset folder and something with the server and reloading the program again. I just got off the phone with them yesterday afternoon, and it's already doing it again this morning... Quote
mcb39 Posted February 26 Report Posted February 26 I got it three times yesterday. Close out ATX and close computer and restart. I think we reach a point of overload. We had IT with us all day yesterday and all of our computers are working fine and up to date. Quote
Randall Posted February 26 Report Posted February 26 I haven't gotten this message yet. But my ATX does continue to tell me to close the program. This has been going on for a few years but it seems to be more frequent this year. 1 Quote
M7047 Posted February 26 Author Report Posted February 26 Literally just got off the phone with ATX and they are telling me it's webroot, but all services are allowed. Now they say it's something else in my system is blocking ATX and they can't fix that. I was basically trying to see if it was their software or my computer. Quote
mcb39 Posted February 26 Report Posted February 26 It is probably your anti-virus software. In my case, it was Avast. 1 Quote

And thousands of other users' computers. It's not WK's fault their software doesn't work with so many computers. 2 1 Quote

Abby Normal Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 ATX is finicky software but it's also true that there are millions of combinations of hardware components and various software installed, making it difficult to troubleshoot errors. I've never used someone else's computer that didn't have at least a few and perhaps a dozen bits of software installed and running that they did not even know they had. Uninstalling or disabling this software can solve a lot of problems. 1 Quote
